Changing the Battery Product Description

To change the battery, first locate the battery cover on the bottom edge of the keypad. Carefully remove the cover by pulling on the tab. Gently remove the 9-Volt battery from the compartment, being sure to hold onto the battery connector to avoid pulling wires out of the housing. Insert the new 9V alkaline battery carefully, making sure not to force it into the compartment. The lock will retain all current codes and settings.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Install a 9-Volt Battery
2. Enter the factory set Code followed by the pound key.
3. A green light will turn on.
4. Turn the handle before the green light turns off.
5. To lock the safe, close the door and turn the handle back to the locked position.
6. If your code is correct, a green light will turn on for approximately 5 seconds.
7. If the code is incorrect, a red light will turn on followed by 5 beeps.

If the lock has no response (no beeps), make sure the battery wires in the keypad housing are not pinched and are securely connected. The lock may be in the Lockout Penalty mode, so wait 5 minutes and check if the lock responds. If needed, replace the existing battery with a new one.

If the lock is responding but does not unlock, ensure you are getting a valid response and a signal with every keystroke. Make sure you are not in Time Delay mode. If necessary, replace the existing battery with a new one.

Low Battery Warning: When you enter your code, a green light and a red light will turn on for 5 seconds, accompanied by 10 beeps. The safe may not unlock when you receive this response. Alternatively, if a green light turns on for only 1 second when you enter your code, the safe will not unlock.

Setting Time Delay: Input the desired time delay followed by the pound key. This can be from 0 to 59 minutes. For example, entering --1-5-9-# will set the time delay for 15 minutes.

To open in Time Delay mode, enter any valid code other than the Master Code. Once the code is entered, the Time Delay will activate, during which codes will not be accepted. The lock will beep continuously and the green light will flash for the last 30 seconds of the Time Delay period. After the beeping stops, the lock will unlock for 5 seconds.

Setting Single User & Dual User Mode: To set Single User Mode, input - followed by 1-5-8-# and the Current Master Code. To set Dual User Mode, follow the same steps but input 2 instead of 1. Unsuccessful mode changes will result in 5 beeps.

Activate User Codes: To activate a user code, input - followed by 3-3-3-# and the Current Master Code. Provide the user number you wish to activate and enter the new user code. Repeat the new user code entry to confirm.

Changing User Codes: To change a user code, input - followed by 4-4-4-#, the Current User Code, the User number, and the new user code. Repeat the new user code entry to confirm.

Delete User Codes: Input -, then 6-6-6-# and the Current Master Code. Specify the User number you wish to delete and re-enter it to confirm. Repeat this step if the deletion is unsuccessful.
